Documenting a Day
This essay will be recapping procedures
and steps taken to complete assignment one of week two, which featured
databases: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint presentation
programs that serve different purposes but are all necessary to manage and
organize information. Using a word processor like Microsoft Word to create,
edit, and format text-based documents was the easiest of the three programs. It
offered formatting options and collaboration features. In contrast, Microsoft
Excel was challenging mainly because its formulas were inconsistent with
what they set out to do: submit numerical data, run calculations on it, and
visualize the results.
Microsoft
PowerPoint was the most challenges out of the three databases and
delivers visual and interactive presentations. It captures the audience
with mixed text, images, and multimedia to express concepts better. One of the
most significant advantages is its visual engagement of audiences, but it's not
for intricately analyzing data or producing documents.
Microsoft Word is the appropriate application
to document things about my day. It enables elaborate, descriptive writing,
simple formatting, and posting images or links. The journal entry, for
instance, of daily activities, thoughts, and reflections, is best written using
a word processor. Word processors are perfect for drafting essays, reports,
or letters.
For
budgeting or tracking expenses in various other situations, for instance,
Microsoft Excel would be most beneficial as it makes calculations and
visualizations of financial data possible. Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation
This would work greatly for business pitches or educational lectures where
visual aids would be necessary. A database that application would be ideal for
managing customer information for a business, as it allows for easy retrieval
and organization of data relating to customers.
Conclusion
To
conclude, each type of application has its strengths and weaknesses, which make
them appropriate for different jobs. Depending upon their functions and
applications would ensure their use in various fields for professional and
personal use.
